The ToXic day party was even more star-studded than ever this
weekend, as Meek Mill held down hosting duties and partied with his
celebrity friends who were in town for the BET Awards Weekend. Spotted
partying at Lure were Yo Gotti, Jessica White, Ma$e, Lil Boosie, NeYo,
B.o.B., Tahiry, Rob Hill Sr. and more! Check out more pics from the
party in the gallery, and be sure to check in next Monday to see who
shows up this weekend!
Busta Rhymes
and Eminem join forces, and no one is safe. The hip-hop superpowers
unleash their Scoop DeVille-produced collaboration “Calm Down,” which features a sample of House of Pain’s “Jump Around.” Bussa Bus breathes fires on his ballistic bars, while Slim Shady wreaks havoc, taking aim at everyone from Clive Davis to Abraham Lincoln to bloggers. “Shady for president, ho / Don’t make me go take it back to the days of old Sway and Tech radio when I was taking so much NoDoz and LSD, I almost fell asleep on the ‘Wakeup Show,’” he spits. Busta is gearing up for his 10th album E.L.E. 2, the sequel to 1998′s E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front. Hear them spaz out on the explosive record.
Tiny wasn't looking for a repeat of what happened several weeks ago when her husband, T.I., got into a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. over her. The singer/songwriter was being interviewed on the red carpet at the 2014 BET Awards on Sunday, June 29, when Floyd, accompanied by his new girlfriend, tried to get her attention. The boxing champ reached out and touched Tiny's arm and called her
name, but when she saw who it was she kept it moving without
acknowledging him. Maybe some of these girls are "Loyal" after all.
Who runs the BET Awards? Beyoncé took home the most trophies at Sunday’s show at Nokia Theatre in L.A. The
pop superstar won three awards including Best Female R&B/Pop
Artist, Best Collaboration, and the Fandemonium Award, and also
performed “Partition” with Jay Z in a pre-taped piece from the “On the
Run Tour.” Pharrell Williams continued his epic year, winning Video of the Year and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist. August
Alsina shared the stage with Trey Songz and Chris Brown, and went home
with two awards including Best New Artist and Viewers’ Choice. “I
represent the struggle,” said the New Orleans crooner. “So this award
not for me, this for the people, and I say thank you from the bottom of
my heart.” Nicki Minaj won Best Female Hip-Hop Artist for the
fifth year in a row and shared the award for Best Group with her Young
Money family. “I thank God that I’ve been placed in a position to
represent women in a culture that is so male driven,” she said while
accepting her award. Other winners included Drake for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Jhené Aiko, who won the Centric Award. See a full list of winners below. Usher reminded us why he’s one of R&B’s greats with his exhilarating performance at the BET Awards. The
R&B crooner delivered a dance-heavy retrospective of hits including
“Confessions,” “U Remind Me,” “U Don’t Have to Call,” and “Caught Up.”
Jennifer
Hudson showcased her new music and her hot body at the BET Awards.
Wearing a tight black dress, the R&B diva strut down the aisle of
the Nokia Theatre to her single “Walk It Out” before making her way to
the stage. After getting hands-on with hunky male model David
McIntosh, she debuted her new disco-soul jam “It’s Your World,” which
features R. Kelly.
The
Carters capped off the BET Awards with a surprise performance. While
the couple was not at the actual show in L.A., they pre-taped a
performance of “Partition” from their “On the Run Tour,” which kicked
off in Miami last week. Jay Z spit a new verse at the beginning of the track before Bey busted out her Crazy Horse-inspired moves on the pole. Queen Bey also went home with three awards including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Best Collaboration, and the Fandemonium Award.
Hustle Gang was in the building at Sunday’s BET Awards. T.I.
brought his wife Tiny and some Brazilian babes to the Nokia Theatre
while performing his new single “No Mediocre” with Hustle Gang’s First
Lady, Iggy Azalea. Despite her foot injury,
the Aussie rapper stuck around to perform her No. 1 hit “Fancy,” while
the camera cut to Nicki Minaj and Keyshia Cole, who were seen dancing
along.
After his emotional speech at the BET Awards, Best New Artist winner August Alsina brought a smile to R&B lovers’ faces with his performance. The New Orleans singer opened with “Kissin’ on My Tattoos” while female acrobats danced above him. He continued with his hit single “I Luv This Shit.” But the big surprise was when Trey Songz joined him on stage, ending their beef. Chris Brown came down from the aisles to join the fellas on the remix. The 2014 BET Awards aired on Sunday, June 29. Among the artists to hit the stage were Iggy Azalea and T.I. The two teamed up to perform Tip's new "No Mediocre" single and Iggy's chart topping hit record…
The year of Pharrell continues. The “Happy” hitmaker kicked off the BET Awards 2014 at Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Sunday. “This is for Virginia,” he said while taking the stage with his University of Baes to perform “Come Get It Bae.” He then brought out the “empress of Virginia,” Missy Elliott, to perform her 2003 hit “Pass That Dutch.”
Lil Wayne put on a “Krazy” performance at the BET Awards 2014. The Young Money chief performed his new song off Tha Carter V
for the first time before segueing into “Believe Me.” While Drake was a
no-show, the crowd including Paris Hilton was seen turning up to
Tunechi, who dedicated the performance to his daughter Reginae.
Breezy
is back. Chris Brown made a triumphant return to the stage at Sunday’s
BET Awards. The R&B superstar performed his hit “Loyal” with some
help from Lil Wayne and Tyga. He wowed with his killer moves, while
Travis Barker played drums. Everyone from Karrueche to 2 Chainz was
seen grooving along before giving him a standing ovation.
John
Legend brought his smooth and soulful sound to Sunday’s BET Awards.
Seated at the piano, the R&B crooner serenaded the audience at Nokia
Theatre with his new single “You and I.” He also brought out Jhené
Aiko to duet on her Sail Out single “The Worst.” Watch them score another win for R&B.
Nicki Minaj brought her fantasy (and that ass) to the BET Awards on Sunday. The ruler of the Barbz opened on the back of a bike to spit her bars on “Chi-Raq” before turning the stage into Alice in Wonderland—complete with mushrooms, a rabbit, and the Mad Hatter—while she performed “Pills N Potions.”
