It is that time of the year again when gals from across the country come to vie for the position of most beautiful in the country. The search is on: a total of twenty four beauties turned up on Wednesday for the pre-selection of Miss Uganda 2011-2012 edition at Club Silk.
The show kicked off at approximately 10:45 am with the young beauties in bikinis trying their level best to meet the qualification and answer questions posed by the different judges.
On the panel of judges was no nonsense Brenda Nanyonjo, Ayiekoh Lillian from Hot 100, Patricia Oluch from Atuki films. They were shocked to find that most of the contestants were only interested in modeling rather than the big crown of `Miss Uganda`. Like it is for first timers, nervousness was quite evident but as the event went on, they picked up the courage. Twenty one gals went through to the next level which is slated for this Saturday where ten Miss Uganda finalists will be selected.
The pageant which is sponsored by Redds, main sponsor; Red Pepper, the official Miss Uganda News paper, WBS TV, Capital FM, Silk Events, Club Silk among others is organized by Brenda Nanyonjo under the outfit Kezi International.
