Finally Rohan Marley has got down on one knee and proposed to his Brazilian model girlfriend Isabeli Fontana.
Although we can’t confirm a wedding date just yet, the location seems to have already been decided on. Speaking to Veja magazine, Fontana gushed over the wedding and said:
“Rohan told me we have to return to the roots so the marriage will last forever,”
No matter how far away they go though, Isabeli’s mother won’t be
pleased, she was singing from a very different hymn sheet as she said:
“I think everything is happening too fast, but everything has a different rhythm with Isabeli.”
For those who don’t know Rohan Marley is a former football player and entrepreneur and the son of late reggae artist Bob Marley and Janet Hunt.
A 1991 graduate of Miami Palmetto Senior High School, Marley
played linebacker for the University of Miami football team, where he
played alongside players like Dwayne Johnson and Ray Lewis. In 1993 he
led the Hurricanes with 95 tackles. He later played professional football in theCanadian Football League with the now defunct Ottawa Rough Riders.
In college Marley married his girlfriend Geraldine Khawly. Together they have daughter Eden and son Nicolas.
Marley and musician Lauryn Hill met in 1996. Hill has referred to
Marley as her husband, though the legal status of their relationship is
unknown.
According to an October 2003 Rolling Stone article, Marley never divorced his first wife Geraldine Khawly. With Lauryn Hill he has five children. Their fifth child is a girl who was born in early 2008. Lauryn Hill has recorded songs about two of her children with Marley. “To Zion” on her first solo effort, 1998′s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill; and “Selah” featured on the Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood soundtrack in 2002.
