Wow. This is scary.August Alsina is in the hospital tonight after collapsing on stage during a show in New York City. The 22-year-old was performing at Irving Plaza as part of The Testimony tour, when he fainted and fell off the stage during a performance of the song, “Numb.”
Security acted quickly, and carried him away as fans stared in horror and confusion. According to one of his fans, he mentioned earlier in the day that he hadn’t had a chance to eat, which may have been the cause of him collapsing. Kid Cudi fainted during a show a few weeks ago due to similar reasons.

This summer has been pretty hectic for August. After winning “Best New Artist” at the BET Awards, he launched the Testimony Live Tour in mid-August, and he just premiered a brand new video with Nicki Minaj. Once his tour is over, he will be right back on the road with Usher in November, so he’s got a lot on his plate.
He’s definitely in our thoughts and prayers.
