Kwa mujibu wa kamanda wa jeshi la polisi Mwanza Simon Sirro amesema kuwa watu hao wamekematwa katika eneo la mtaa wa libert jirani na benki ya NMB wakiwa kwenye harakati za safari kuelekea Nyegezi ambako walipanga kwenda kufanya uvamizi kwenye duka moja. 
Awali majambazi hayo yalivamia bar moja eneo la kilimahewa na kuwalaza watu chini kisha kupora mali zao na kuiba bastola ya mteja mmoja. Majambazi hayo yaliyokuwa katika gari dogo yalipostukia kuwa yanafuatiliwa yalianza kufyatua risasi hovyo hali iliyosababisha shughuli za biashara kwenye eneo la tukio kusimama kwa muda.
Raia wema ndiyo waliofanikisha kukamatwa kwa majambazi hao kwa kutoa taarifa kwa jeshi la polisi ambao nao bila ajizi walifuatilia nyendo za majambazi hao na hatimaye kufanikiwa kuwatia nguvuni.
Wawili kati ya majambazi hayo manne hali zao ni mbaya na wamepelekwa hospitali ya Rufaa Bugando, mmoja katwangwa risasi mguuni na takoni ile hali mwingine sugu anayetambulika kwa jina maarufu 'Askofu' akiwa amevunjika mguu kabisa kwa kutwangwa risasi wakati alipojaribu kuitoroka mikono ya polisi.

The rapper, who is still incarcerated, plans to plead not guilty, according to his lawyer Ashutosh Joshi.
Prosecutors accused Gucci of showing a "willful disregard for a woman's personal safety" when they formally charged the 31-year-old rapper.
"We obviously believe the charges are false,"Joshi told the Macon Telegraph. "We don't agree with them and we look forward to having the opportunity to fight the charges in court."
Gucci is accused of pushing a 36-year-old woman named Diana Graham out of his Hummer on January 28th, after the woman allegedly refused a proposition from the rapper, to visit a local hotel.
