Yesterday, after joining J. Cole onstage at his “Dollar & A
Dream” show Drake went to the nearest Best Buy in Union Square to
purchase the entire stock of Born Sinner. While the duo were in the
store, they cleared the shelves
of Cole’s album and bought some other CDs too including Sade, French
Montana, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd. In the video Cole laughed
saying, “I just want to know who’s paying,” as they headed to the
cashier.
Drake holds up the receipt with the whopping total of $888! Now that’s how you show support!
In the video, the cashier tells J. Cole that his album has been selling more copies than Kanye’s Yeezus
at that particular store. Nationwide, it’s selling just a few thousand
units short of Kanye’s new album at Best Buy stores and according to
early sales predictions, J. Cole is estimated to sell 290-318K and Kanye 375-400K.
