Nick Cannon is distancing himself from the Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa divorce mess. Cannon has been mentioned in several reports as having an affair with Rose. His reps reached out to TMZ in an attempt to clear his name.
According to the Wild 'N Out star, he had no idea Amber and Wiz were having marriage troubles until last week when her lawyers informed him before he signed her to a management deal.
Attorneys for Amber and Wiz are accusing each other's client of cheating, but Nick insists that his relationship with Amber is strictly professional.
Amber shot down rumors that she cheated, but did call out Wiz for his infidelity. “Please stop with the fake stories. I would never ever ever cheat on my husband in a million years I think u guys know this,” she said. “Unfortunately my now ex husband can’t say the same.”
According to TMZ, Amber says Wiz was cheating on her for months while on tour and made excuses to prevent her from joining him on the road. Wiz also believes that Amber was cheating on him, which she has denied.
She filed for divorce on Tuesday and is asking for full legal and physical custody of their one-and-a-half-year-old son Sebastian. However, she’s willing to give Wiz visitation rights.
“I’m devastated and crushed but my main focus is Sebastian. Thank u for all the support in this difficult time,” said Amber.
The couple celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary in July.
