[New Artist] Coline Creuzot – ‘You Tried It’

There could be a new R&B superstar we see on the horizon, and her name is Coline Creuzot.
The Houston native has worked with the likes of Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and even sang backup for Solange, before stepping out on her own as a solo artist.
We’re feeling her new single “You Tried It,” which uses the popular phrase to explain how she’s done being loyal to someone who isn’t returning the favor.  She sings:

You were supposed to be there. Supposed to be mine.
Remember when for better or for worse was our life?
Now b–ches wanna love you just for one night.
But tell me who was there for you when you were sitting sideline.
Now that sh-t is all bad, I’m laying with a stranger.
Heart is full of anger and I don’t know how to get us back.

Coline blew up in Houston after her song “Give And Take” started gaining major radio play in the area. She inked a deal with Sony and has been digging deep as a writer ever since, channeling inspiration from the 90s and transforming her work into something that looks deeply into love and relationships.
