King Kendrick held court with rap royalty during his headlining set
at Power 105.1′s Powerhouse in Brooklyn last night. The Compton MC
brought out Brooklyn’s own Lil’ Kim at the Barclays Center.
“This is the home of Notorious B.I.G., right?” Kendrick told the
crowd. “It’s only right that I bring somebody up here that was
influential in this motherfu**ing game and still is. A female, by the
way.”
“Where Brooklyn at?” asked the Queen Bee
as she stormed the stage in all black, performing her verse on Junior
Mafia’s 1995 hit “Get Money” with some help from Kendrick.
They high-fived as she continued with “It’s All About the Benjamins.”
“Everybody make some noise for the motherfu**ing queen,” said K-Dot as he bowed to her.
Kim was also supposed to hit the stage with K. Michelle, but things
didn’t work out as planned. “We was supposed to rock the stage together
tonight but due to technical difficulties it didn’t happen. It’s cool she held me down!” said the “V.S.O.P.” singer.
Watch K-Dot bumble with the Bee in Brooklyn.
