Lil’ Kim Talks Motherhood, Nicki Minaj, & Remy Ma on ‘106 & Park’

Lil’ Kim returned to “106 & Park” on Wednesday to promote her mixtape Hard Core 2K14. The Queen Bee received a warm welcome from the crowd before sitting down with guest hosts Ray J and Bow Wow’s fiancée Erica Mena to discuss motherhood, Nicki Minaj, and Remy Ma.

“She’s ready to reclaim her throne,” said Ray J, while Erica quipped, “It was never taken.”
The new mom showed off a new photo of her daughter Royal Reign, who was born in June. “It was the most expensive gift God has ever given me,” she said. “And the most beautiful gift God has ever given me.”
She also addressed comparisons to her rival Nicki Minaj. “Imitation is the biggest form of flattery,” said Kim. “That’s why I tried to join forces.”
But don’t hold your breath for a Kim and Nicki collaboration. “The Nicki situation cannot be fixed unless it’s financial involved because it’s deeper than that,” said Kim as a photo of the “Anaconda” rapper was shown on the screen behind her.
“People don’t know the situation. Like I was over there working with [YMCMB]. [Lil Wayne's] song ‘No Worries,’ that was my producer [Detail] who produced that song. I brought him over there to that camp. They took everything from me.”
When Ray J pushed for a collaboration, she said, “It should happen at the right time, but respect is due. It ain’t about no queen stuff.”
One female rapper who she is down to work with is Remy Ma. “Me and Remy, we cool,” said Kim.
Before leaving, she promised to return with a video from Hard Core 2K14.
