First Lady Michelle Obama covers Redbook magazine’s November 2014 edition.
The fabulous First Lady chatted with the
publication about just how important it is for armed service vets to
have access to post-duty training for the civilian side of life.
“I have been promoting education period,
because that is the way the world is going. On the other hand, veterans
shouldn’t have to wait for a job. So one of our biggest challenges is,
how do you take so many years of on-the-ground experience and compare
that with a degree that may have nothing to do with the work?”
Michelle also explained that she’d be
delighted if her daughters decided to join the armed forces. “I would
support them in whatever they chose to do and I be honored to be a proud
Blue Star mom.”
