The group’s first release on the label will be the highly-anticipated 20th anniversary album, A Better Tomorrow, due out December 2.
All nine members including RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna were on hand to make the announcement during a press conference at Warner Bros.’ Burbank, Calif. office earlier this week.
As a group, Wu-Tang has sold over 6.5 million records in the U.S. and 40 million records worldwide collectively. Their last album, 2007’s 8 Diagrams, was released on SRC/Universal Motown.
In addition to A Better Tomorrow, Wu-Tang is working on a 31-track secret album, The Wu – Once Upon a Time in Shaolin. Only one copy will be produced, and RZA claims to have already received a $5 million offer.
In August, all nine members of the Clan reunited to perform their new single “Ron O’Neal” on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.”
