Remember Sparkle? She exploded back on the scene as R. Kelly’s
protege back in 1998, and released a self-titled album under his
Rockland Record label. She also had a #1 hit on the Billboard charts with her single “Be Careful” featuring R. Kelly, however, her family got caught up in his sex tape scandal and she fell off the map. [R&B Divas may be calling soon!]
Now, here’s where things get interesting. A few months ago, R. Kelly remixed Kelly Rowland’s “Dirty Laundry”
and instead of cleaning out his closet and talking about his
highly-publicized case where he was accused of having sex with a
14-year-old, he used the verses to put his R&B counterparts on
blast. Sparkle, in the meantime, has decided to put out her own remix
to the track to tell her side of what went down.
On the record, she sings “Let me help you with this laundry” as she
details having to take the stand as a key witness in the trial because
the girl was her niece. She sings:
