Dates
for the highly-anticipated music contest dubbed ‘The Battle of
Champions’ between music arch-rivals Ghetto President Bobi Wine and Big
Size Bebe Cool have been released.
Come May 4th, 5th and 6th, Bebe Cool and Bobi Wine will finally face off and show the public who is better than the other on the same stage at yet to be announced venues.
According
to reliable sources, the organizers of the event have finalized many of
the requirements for the show to take place. However what is remaining
is the most important requirement for the event to happen- agreeing on
how much to pay each musician.
Currently both Bebe and Bobi are asking for money over and above what they may actually get. First Bebe Cool
asked for 50 million for him to perform with Bobi Wine. The latter
reiterated by asking for a whooping 80 million. Nonetheless, basing on
available statistics about Ugandan music, both musicians are asking for
far too much. If the battle is to take place then both will settle for
less payments.
Yesterday Bobi Wine used his Facebook account to give his stand about the impending Battle of Champions. He wrote;
“Ok,let
me put this straight, if Bebe Cool wants a stage battle with me, am
gonna give him one but only on one condition, I take 85% of the money
made, if not, Anoonye bane(Let him find his class).………..After all I will
be elevating him because he needs it and I don't.”
